During our stay at Maple Lodge, our family had a wonderful time exploring the outdoor activities at Derwent Reservoir and Slaley. We tried clay pigeon and rifle shooting, which was a thrilling experience for all members of the family. Sailing on the reservoir provided breathtaking views and a sense of tranquility that we all appreciated. My kids especially enjoyed quad biking, while paintball was a hit with the adults. To the exciting outdoor activities, we also took advantage of the golf courses nearby, such as Close House and Hexham Golf Course, for some leisurely fun. Fishing on the River Tyne was a relaxing way to spend the afternoon, and we even caught a few fish to cook for dinner. Overall, Maple Lodge provided a great base for our family-friendly adventures in the area. the spacious accommodations and friendly staff made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be back for more outdoor fun in the future.
